The word “engineer” comes from
the Latin word meaning “cleverness”.
Kelly was born and raised in Denver, Colorado, and after completing a general engineering class in high school (and getting some persuasion from her father), it seemed Kelly was destined to study engineering. Kelly attended New Mexico State University in Las Cruces and graduated with her BS in Civil Engineering with a minor in Math in December of 2006. She interviewed at CTS directly after graduation and, enamored with the Phoenix winters, decided to move to Arizona. She has worked her way up from Structural Designer, and was most recently promoted to Project Manager in October, 2020.
Kelly has worked on a variety of different projects during her career from apartments to tenant improvements, and concrete to steel framed multi-story projects. She appreciates the large range of projects at CTS and having projects constructed in several different states, which guarantees that every day will bring new challenges. She still gets a great sense of pride to see her projects in person after completion.
Personal: I’ve run 2 full marathons, a dozen half marathons and several 5ks, trail runs and other races in 9 states (so far!). I enjoy getting outside to run, hike and walk my dog, but I can also often be found on the couch reading or solving crossword puzzles.
